IT/ET Networking

Meet IT and ET professionals from jurisdictions around the province

HACK Alberta - March 12-15, 2024

Join IT security and sysadmin professionals to learn how to protect your network by breaking into a Windows domain with nothing more than a keyboard.

Understand how the Windows security subsystem really works and use that knowledge to proactively mitigate malware attacks and lateral movement through allowlisting, Zero Trust and the principle of least privilege by correctly using Credential Guard, privileged workstations, shielded VMs and other secure Technologies. Ransomware doesn't stand a chance!

This hands on advanced training will be led by world renowned security expert Sami Laiho.

Sami Laiho is one of the world’s leading professionals in the Windows OS and Security. Sami has been working with and teaching OS troubleshooting, management, and security since 1996. Sami has been auditing and implementing security solutions, specializing in Principle of Least Privilege, Application Control and Privileged Access Workstations, since 2002. Sami has deployed solutions for companies with between 1-550000 endpoints. https://samilaiho.com/
