How We Help

ATLE - How We Help!

ATLE (Alberta Technology Leaders in Education) helps our members as well as our wider community in school divisions in Alberta and beyond in supporting learning, technology and leadership. Our help is both timely and relevant, guided annually by your input in our Fall Survey.

For many years, we were "just" a conference - the ATLE Conference - which over the years evolved into what we know today as Convergence - which is actually THE conference in Western Canada (are we biased?) where the expertise and vision of our membership groups comes together in a synergistic celebration of excellence in vision, in practice, and in community!

Today, we also host conferences and events for specific segments of our membership, such as the Administrative Assistants Conference in October, the leadership conference Emerge in May, and a SIS Administrators Conference in May.

We also host events focused on topics explored by our PLNs (professional learning networks). Our IT network will be drawn to HACK Alberta in March, our AI PLN will be drawn to an AI Symposium in April, and our PIA (Privacy Impact Assessment) and Google for Education groups are meeting several times over the year to engage in open conversations over lunch on topics of shared interest. Explore our Featured Events!

But that's not all. Weekly ATLE book chats let us cross-pollinate our membership groups and PLNs under topics of common interest in the educational landscape today, such as AI, Esports, and digital citizenship. Read more about our professional learning networks in the ProLearn section of our site!

We also work with YOU to help you promote your events and support your initiatives that fit under the umbrella of learning, technology and leadership, as we together raise up our leaders across the province where they can be recognized and create further impact together. And there's more. If you are interested sharing your expertise with others, please check out the ATLE Hub, a registry of people who offer their expertise to help in the larger ATLE community.

How do we get this all to work?

We rely on your input into our work each Fall, your involvement in our events, and our collaborations with partners to help us realize our collective vision of excellence in learning, technology and leadership all year long. Read more about our partnerships!
